Is the third sprue really different or is it the same as the second? On your picture it seems it's the same but turned by 180 degrees, that would also explain why there are only two sprues shown on GW.com.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that too but it's not a 1:1 copy. It have the same components of another sprue but the components are not identical. Say, the 2 sprues have both arms or them, but the arms are posed differently. Same for the other components
DeleteI'll post a picture to show what I'm talking about in a minute :)
DeleteThanks a ton for putting up these pictures!
ReplyDeleteI was dumb enough to simply cut out all the components, without realising that nearly ALL the parts are locked to a certain number of other parts. For instance the hip-joints all look the same, but each are slightly different.
Now with your higher res. pictures I can try to figure out which part is which, so that I might actually put them together properly.
To make matters worse, I thought they would be a breeze to magnetize, which just made my Wraithguard project all the more problematic :-)
Anyways, thanks again for the pictures!
Very happy to be of assistance :)
DeleteI magnetized mine too (but only the arms) so I fell your pain! :)
I am also just magnetizing the arms, but it's hard to even find the arm-components that fit together, let alone getting it to fit properly with the magnets.
DeleteIt seems everything on these models have such a tight fit, that even a slight change (from a magnet sticking a milimeter out or something) will make the joints not naturally end up aligned properly.
But too late now - As I've already started the magnetizing, so I have to follow through :-)
